Couples, Family & Individual Therapy in Cumberland and North Metro Atlanta
I provide therapy in Cumberland, Atlanta, serving children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families throughout North Metro Atlanta. As an Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)–trained and trauma-informed Marriage and Family Therapist, I support clients across the lifespan in building secure attachment, emotional safety, and meaningful connection.
Grounded in attachment science, my work focuses on identifying and transforming the emotional cycles and protective patterns that shape relationships, behavior, and one’s relationship with self. Therapy becomes a space to slow down, understand what is underneath the surface, and move toward more secure and connected ways of relating.
Who I Help in Cumberland & North Metro Atlanta
Couples Therapy
I work with couples who feel caught in reactive cycles, emotional distance, or recurring conflict. Using Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), we identify the attachment needs beneath these patterns and build more responsive, attuned bonds.
Individual Therapy
Through Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), I support teens, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, identity development, emotional regulation challenges, and relational distress. Together, we explore how past experiences shape present patterns and create new pathways toward security and resilience.
Child, Teen & Family Therapy
I provide child-centered play therapy, parent coaching, and family systems therapy grounded in Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT). I believe caregivers are essential partners in the healing process and encourage active parent involvement to strengthen attachment relationships and emotional attunement within the family system.
My Approach to Emotionally Focused Therapy in Atlanta
My work is rooted in Emotionally Focused Therapy, including advanced training in EFCT, EFIT, and EFFT. Rather than viewing individual, couples, and family therapy as separate specialties, I approach all clinical work through a relational, attachment-based lens. Emotional experiences and behaviors develop within relationships and are shaped over time.
I hold the belief that all behavior serves a purpose — it is an attempt to regulate emotion, preserve connection, or protect against vulnerability. In therapy, we collaboratively slow down these protective patterns to understand the underlying attachment challenges driving them. From there, we work toward healthier emotional regulation, clearer communication, and more secure bonds within oneself and across relationships.
With over 20 years of experience in the neurodiverse community, I bring a compassionate, developmentally informed perspective to therapy. I have extensive training in attachment-based and trauma-informed care, including specialized education through ATTACh, and hold advanced certification in the Developmental, Individual Differences, Relationship-Based (DIR/Floortime®) model developed by Stanley Greenspan, M.D. My work supports emotional regulation, relational attunement, and resilience across the lifespan.

A Personal Note
I believe healing and transformation occur within the safety of a secure therapeutic relationship — one that allows us to explore past experiences, present patterns, and future hopes with curiosity, compassion, and courage.
Outside the therapy room, I value lifelong learning, time in nature, and grounding in the present moment. I enjoy being outdoors, embracing spontaneity, and spending time with my chocolate labs, Willow & Clover.
It is a privilege to hold space for clients as they share their most vulnerable experiences and move toward greater connection and resilience.
