Vision, Mission & Values at
The Relationship House in Cumberland
The Relationship House is a Relationship Therapy Center serving clients and therapists in Cumberland and North Metro Atlanta. We provide EFT therapy for individuals, couples, families, children, and teens, alongside EFT-informed training, supervision, and professional development—creating a space where healing and learning unfold together.

Our Mission
Our mission is to cultivate a relational home where healing and learning unfold together—supporting individuals, couples, families, and therapists through embodied, attachment-based practice grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy and Marriage and Family Therapy.
Our Vision
The Relationship House envisions a world where relational healing and learning are inseparable—where therapists and clients alike are supported in their shared humanity, and where embodied, attachment-based care strengthens relationships, families, and communities.
Our Values
Our values guide how we show up in therapy, in training, and in our broader community.
Being Human Comes First
We believe healing and learning begin with honoring our shared humanity. We prioritize authenticity, compassion, and presence over performance, creating space for people to show up as they are and grow from there.
Relationship Is a Human Birthright
We view love, connection, and secure attachment as fundamental human needs. We believe meaningful, loving relationships are a birthright for all people, and we are committed to fostering connection that supports healing, dignity, and belonging.
Safety, Inclusion, and Belonging
We aim to cultivate a climate of inclusion where all people can feel safe, valued, cared for, and welcomed into meaningful connection. We work to create relational environments where individuals and communities can thrive without fear of marginalization or harm.
Diversity Is Essential to Healing
We seek a world that embraces the full diversity of human experience, including race, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, sexual and affectional orientation, religion, age, class, physical ability, mental health, and neurodiversity. We believe healing deepens when differences are respected, honored, and held with care.
Cultural Humility and Ongoing Awareness
We are committed to increasing our awareness of implicit bias and unconscious racism, deepening our cultural humility, and broadening our cultural lens. We view this as an ongoing, relational process—one that requires curiosity, accountability, and willingness to listen and learn.
Healing and Learning Unfold Together
We do not separate personal growth from professional development. Therapy, training, and learning occur within the same relational field—allowing insight, embodiment, and self-understanding to deepen together.
Growth Ripples into Communities
We believe relational healing extends beyond the therapy room. As individuals and therapists grow in safety and connection, that healing ripples outward—strengthening families, communities, and the broader human fabric.
