Relationship Counseling Internship Programs in Marietta GA
Our Internship Program at The Relationship House is designed to provide students with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of relationship counseling. Interns will gain knowledge of the fundamentals of relationship therapy, as well as be exposed to a variety of therapeutic techniques informed by the Emotionally Focused Therapy Model. Mentoring and supervision will be provided by experienced professionals, and interns will be given the chance to observe and participate in actual therapy sessions, when appropriate. The Relationship House offers Undergraduate and Graduate Level Internships. It is recommended that Undergraduate Interns have a minor or major in Human Development and Family Studies, Child/Adolescent Development, Psychology, or Education. Graduate Level Interns are required to be in the 2nd year of an AAMFT Accredited Marriage & Family Therapy Program.
Graduate Internship
Graduate Interns will have the opportunity to co-facilitate therapy services under the supervision of Clinical Director and AAMFT Approved Supervisor, Alex Peskin. Graduate Interns will also have the opportunity to develop and co-present CEU events at The Relationship House with Program Director, Sarah Plyler.
