"The irony is that we attempt to disown our difficult stories to appear more whole or more acceptable, but our wholeness -even our wholeheartedness- actually depends on the integration of all our experiences, including the falls."

Meet Sarah

I’m passionate about the art and science of human connection. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I am committed to helping you heal trauma wounds and create secure, loving bonds in your relationships.  I specialize in trauma informed therapy for individuals and couples.

In our work together, I will help you learn to exit unhealthy patterns of behavior, release emotional triggers, and improve communication and conflict resolution skills. I will also guide you in implementing self-regulation and co-regulation techniques that help reshape the nervous system.

I have specialized training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and in Polyvagal Theory (PVT). I received advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy with Michael Barnett, LPC, founder of the Atlanta Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy. I have completed the EFT Externship, Core Skills Training, and required supervision. I am also trained in the principles and practices of Polyvagal Theory to reshape the nervous system by Deb Dana, LCSW, founding member of the Polyvagal Institute.  Polyvagal Theory helps us understand the path in our body from emotion to behavior.  Polyvagal informed interventions help reshape the nervous system and reclaim a path to safety and connection with ourselves and others.  I receive supervision in the integration of EFT and PVT with Camille Scent, LPC, LMFT to treat complex trauma with both LBGTQIA+ and Heterosexual Couples.

I am LGBTQIA+ allied, kink-aware, and poly-friendly. I strive to make therapy affirming for anyone that I treat.

I have over 14 years of clinical experience.  I am a Clinical Member of' the following organizations:
