Meet Christopher
Couples & Individual Therapy in Cumberland and North Metro Atlanta
I work with individuals and couples seeking greater emotional clarity, deeper connection, and a stronger understanding of themselves and their relationships. I value authenticity, empathy, and emotional safety in the therapeutic relationship, creating a supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their emotions, experiences, and relational patterns openly.
Whether you are navigating loneliness, communication challenges, self-esteem concerns, identity exploration, stress, relationship distress, or life transitions, I strive to help clients feel grounded, supported, and empowered in their growth. I thoughtfully consider how culture, race, identity, and lived experiences shape emotional and relational dynamics, inviting clients to bring their full selves into the therapy room as they move toward more secure and meaningful connections with themselves and others.
Who I Help in Cumberland & North Metro Atlanta
Couples Therapy
I help couples strengthen emotional connection, improve communication, and better understand the patterns that keep them feeling stuck or disconnected. Using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), I support partners in exploring the emotions and attachment needs beneath conflict so they can create greater empathy, trust, and security within their relationship.
Individual Therapy
I work with individuals seeking greater self-understanding, emotional balance, and healthier relationships with themselves and others. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space to explore challenges related to identity, self-esteem, stress, emotional regulation, loneliness, and life transitions while helping clients develop deeper emotional awareness and more secure ways of relating.
My Approach to Emotionally Focused Therapy in Atlanta
I believe therapy should feel safe, collaborative, and free from judgment. I create a supportive space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and relational experiences with honesty and curiosity. My work focuses on helping clients better understand how they experience life emotionally—how they notice, regulate, express, and respond to emotions within themselves and their relationships.
Using evidence-based approaches including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and the Gottman Method, I help individuals and couples identify unhelpful patterns, deepen emotional awareness, improve communication, and strengthen connection. My approach is warm, relational, and grounded in helping clients feel emotionally seen, understood, and supported throughout the therapeutic process.
