Meet Crystal
I am a military veteran and a member of the LGBTQIA+ community. My passions are in working with underserved populations and advocating for mental health. I specialize in working with non-binary individuals, same-sex couples, people of color, veterans, and people exploring their gender and sexuality. My military service gave me first-hand experience with members suffering from PTSD, depression, anxiety, sexual assault, divorce, and many other struggles. I know how socio-cultural factors play a major role in one’s life, and closing the barriers of discrimination, generational trauma, and mental health awareness are my top priorities.
I thrive in the therapy room with a collaborative, client-centered approach that draws on Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and experiential therapies. Therapy with me is a judgement free safe space for couples, individuals, families, and children to express their thoughts, emotions, and feelings. It is important that everyone feels heard, respected, and comfortable. If you are looking for a different approach to therapy that is youthful, free spirited and welcoming for all, then you have come to the right place!
I have a Master of Marriage and Family Therapy degree from Mercer University, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University in Anthropology with a minor in environment and health. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I work under the clinical supervision of Alex Peskin, LMFT.
