Meet Amy
I have passion for working with adolescents, adults, and couples. In my training in Marriage and Family Therapy, I have developed a deep understanding of how family dynamics impact mental and relational health, and I am skillful in treating anxiety, depression, and couples issues. I have also served the community for many years in children’s ministry where I have helped families with special needs children.
I strive to help my clients lead fulfilling and purpose-driven lives. I enjoy being creative and resourceful during sessions. My therapeutic style is informed by the Emotionally Focused Therapy model, and I incorporate CBT and ACT techniques into my approach. I receive Emotionally Focused Therapy informed supervision. These approaches help me to see my clients from a broad lens, and to help them focus in to what is most important in their lives.
In our work together, I look forward to sharing my excitement for helping you to develop a stronger understanding of yourself, your feelings, and the power of your relationship bonds.
I received my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Richmont Graduate University where I also studied Marriage and Family Therapy. I am an associate professional counselor under supervision of Alex Peskin, LMFT.
